SUE'S CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE 2025 - PEACE.
For this years' challenge Sue thought that creating a textile piece based on Peace was an apt topic to bring along to our annual Christmas Lunch.
"What does Peace mean to you? It could be something very personal , or something of more global significance. Please put those brain cells and fingers to work to produce a textile based piece".
As always no prizes were awarded but there was lots of laughter over the explanations and realised that there were a number of common themes. Being creative all seems to bring us peace, especially working with textiles. It didn't matter if items shown had made in the past or created specially for the challenge we all seem to gain a sense of peace when are fingers are busy. As seen by the themes of gardens, gardening and cooking. Being at the beach and walking was the happy place for many members, offering a sense of calm, tranquility and therefore peace.
Well done to everybody who took part.
