Joining and Fees
Meetings are held at Foulden Village Hall, Main Street, Foulden generally on the second Saturday of the month and start at 2pm (unless otherwise stated). Visitors* are always welcome and we actively encourage potential members to visit first to ensure that our group is the right fit for you. Coffee, tea and biscuits are served after the presentation has ended and there is usually a sales table and raffle for a small prize.
Existing members renew at the January meeting, paying £25 for the year. If subscription is not paid within three months, membership lapses. New members can join at any meeting and pay £25. If joining after the summer break, in September, then only half the annual fee is due.
Workshops are paid for by the members attending and are charged at a flat rate of £30. A £10 deposit is required when booking which is not refundable unless there is a waiting list. The remaining £20 needs to be paid, either by cash, card or BACS, before the date of the workshop. The numbers attending workshops are set by the tutor. Members have priority for places but guests may attend if there are spaces.
To ensure membership records are up to date and to comply with data protection law, members are asked to complete a new enrolment form annually. This also ensures members only receive the communications they request (usually by email).
The Membership fee can be paid in person by cash/card or by BACS if you cannot enrol in person. We can accept payment by cheque but prefer the other means. Bank details are available with the enrolment form if you need more information speak to the treasurer at the meeting or email bordertextilegroup@gmail.com

*Visitors can attend for a maximum of two meetings per year – at a charge of £4.50 per meeting.
